Company Introduction

Our client is a leading company in the hospitality and catering industry.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare monthly management accounts to support financial performance monitoring and decision-making;
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and contribute to periodic financial forecasting activities;
  • Prepare cash flow statements and other financial reports as required by management;
  • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of VAT returns;
  • Conduct financial analysis to support new business initiatives and ongoing operations;
  • Oversee and strengthen internal financial control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance;
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors during statutory audit processes;
  • Monitor debtor balances and oversee credit control procedures, reporting regularly to senior management;
  • Supervise and support the accounts team in managing daily financial transactions, including settlements and receivables;
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and applicable fiscal regulations;
  • Recommend and implement improvements to financial processes and internal procedures;
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the finance team to support professional development and effective performance.

Experience

  • ACCA qualification or equivalent is required;
  • Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting leadership role;
  • Experience within the hospitality sector or multi-entity business environments will be considered an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word;
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems will be considered advantageous;
  • Good understanding of EU financial regulations; knowledge of Maltese compliance requirements will be considered an asset.
