Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports;
  • Analyse financial data to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for cost optimisation;
  • Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts;
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities;
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures;
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist in monitoring cash flow positions;
  • Maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets;
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies;
  • Assist with internal and external audits and support the resolution of audit findings;
  • Work closely with department heads to ensure financial processes align with operational objectives;
  • Monitor inventory levels and cost controls across operations;
  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning, tracking, and reporting;
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including involvement in training and development initiatives;
  • Contribute to the improvement and automation of financial processes and reporting systems;
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing financial systems and procedures.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality sector;
  • Familiarity with hotel accounting standards will be considered an asset;
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes;
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge of local tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
