Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring effective resource allocation to maximize shareholder value;
- Provide accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning to support strategic goals;
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue through effective financial management;
- Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Manage accounting, tax, treasury, and audit functions to maintain financial integrity and transparency;
- Ensure timely and clear financial reporting to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors;
- Establish and maintain financial controls to minimize risks and protect company assets;
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including those for publicly listed companies, tax laws, and corporate governance standards;
- Oversee both internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to industry best practices;
- Contribute to the company's Property Portfolio strategy by leading financial structuring activities related to expansion, divestments, and asset renegotiations;
- Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing;
- Develop and oversee investment strategies to maximize returns and support business growth;
- Lead strategic financial initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions;
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive business performance and improve decision-making;
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Board and investors;
- Lead negotiations with international banks and funding institutions to secure favorable terms;
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team by fostering a culture of excellence and accountability;
- Leverage technological advancements to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making at the executive and board level.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (MQF 6) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an ACCA qualification;
- A Master’s degree (MQF 7) in a relevant field would be considered an asset;
- At least 10 years of experience in senior financial leadership positions;
- In-depth understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and risk management practices;
- Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, capital management, and leading business transformation initiatives.
