Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Contribute to attracting and referring new clients for both lending and deposit services while supporting the marketing efforts for the Bank’s products;
  • Serve as the primary contact for Corporate Deposits, assisting the Corporate Team in activities aimed at expanding this area of business;
  • Attend customer meetings to facilitate the onboarding process and account openings;
  • Aid Relationship Managers in researching and assessing customers’ creditworthiness;
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers on customer due diligence, acting as part of the Bank’s first line of defense in accordance with the Risk and AML framework;
  • Follow up with clients to gather financial data, documentation, and information needed to complete business proposals;
  • Support Relationship Managers in preparing for and executing scheduled reviews, while assessing potential new risks;
  • Monitor and manage existing client relationships and their respective facilities;
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Deposits, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Legal, to ensure smooth completion of processes aligned with business priorities;
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding both lending and deposit services;
  • Foster a culture of continuous process improvement and uphold the Bank’s professional practices and quality control standards;
  • Participate in system testing and implementation related to corporate team requirements.

Experience

  • Knowledge of Credit Operations, Corporate Loans, and other corporate products, including Deposits and Bank Guarantees, is a valuable asset;
  • Fluent in English and preferably Maltese;
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
